The religious institutions see women's reproductive freedom as a threat to their existence. They will never stop trying to drag us back into the cave where they dominate us.

More likely, they see abortion as a murder; a waste of life.

Yes.

Not according to the Mayo Clinic. By week, according to the pregnancy calendar, a baby has a heart, brain, spinal, and even some vital organs.

Ignorance is bliss.

Seriously, are you lot that short of an argument you have to rehash the slavery thing over and over again?
Simple. Try to follow.
The gov't says that legally women have the right abort their baby. Just something is legal, that doesn't mean it is morally right.

Slavery was legal in the US for hundreds of years. Does that make it morally right, or correct? No. Those laws were overturned, thankfully. So, laws are not always morally right.

Thats a ridiculus statement. Do you remember what happened when you were 1 minute out of the womb? 10 minutes, 1000 minutes, 10,000 minutes? How about 1 year, 2 years, 3 years? Tell me exactly what took place, and back it up with documentation and eyewitnesses.

My guess is that you don't know. So, because you can't recall what took place, does that make you under developed or not alive? What about all the people with alzheimer disease? They don't remember things.

That was too easy.

Last I checked, women weren't brood mares.
We can't (and shouldn't) be forced to breed.
Actually, we're comparing legality and morality.
Instead, killing machines.

So, then all judges should be women? That's rather sexist.

I'm looking out for the baby's and the mother's health.

And further more, if only a women should make the decision because she is bearing, then why do we assume the baby agrees with the mother? Do we know for sure that the baby doesn't want to live?

How wonderful of you! What WOULD we poor silly women do without you to protect us from ourselves!

The 'baby' doesn't get to vote. Neither does a 4 year old who needs its mothers bone marrow to survive.

So should we kill, abort the 4 year old b/c it cramps the mothers life? How silly to think that.
The 'baby' is a living being, and abortion is of no need.

Do we force the mother to allow her body to be used against her will because the person who needs it is a 'living being'?

As far as abortion being 'of no need': I became pregnant 15 years after a tubal ligation. Had I not miscarried, my choices would have been abortion, or probable death from kidney failure.

You may not consider my life qualifies as a 'need', but I and many others do.
