No, that is not my presumption. Teachings on sexual relationships is NOT synonymous with sexual impurity. Now you're just taking statements and words and twisting them. Let's see - have you read the Bible? - what does it say about deceivers? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Conservatism: Self-centered mean-spiritedness fueled by ignorance and misguided self-importance. | Guest Posts: n/a | Why waste my time? Arguing with you is like arguing with a blind man in the middle of a garden. Where I say the garden is beatiful, and you say no I cant see it. Same with abortion, Where I say look, its a baby, and you say no, no I cant see. I can no more expct a blind man to see, than I can expect you to see. But I'll still pray for ya | |

| You don't argue or debate. You preach. I would say that preaching on the internet is, indeed, a waste of time. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Conservatism: Self-centered mean-spiritedness fueled by ignorance and misguided self-importance. My views of abortion are complex. First and foremost, partial birth is just plain cruel and gruesome. The child can feel pain, and moreso, it's entirely unnecessary seeing as the child is already being born. At that point they should have probably either decided to abort earlier or had the kid and put him or her up for adoption. Regular abortion is different. I agree, more sex ed is definitely necessary, because abstinence only education won't cut it. It's been proven to be ineffective, and the only reason it works in Africa is that it's the ONLY form of sex ed there. Back to the real issue, I'm pretty sure later term abortions are wrong. I'm not going to say murder, because murder is done with intentional malice toward the victim. This seems more like manslaughter, which is not as serious because it is not always done with hate, but rather desperation. In that way, women who have had abortions are somewhat less culpable for their actions. They did what they had to in order to protect themselves. It IS the destruction of a human life, because the fetus has the potential to develop into a human. By that reasoning, though, not having sex during ovulation is wrong because the egg has the potential to develop into a life. Obviously, the egg statement is not true. The sanctity of life (never thought I'd use that word) is important, but social implications must be taken into affect. Thus, I am still undecided as to my stance. | Well Guys, I very much disagree. Maybe I am just a big web-wimp, but I find that others can have a profound impact on my beliefs, the ones that are not fastened down, and a good many aren't... And if the post is polite and articulate with a persuasive argument that is not manipulative, it can command not only my attention, but my own scale of values. Just yesterday Jefferson said something so profound and so concise and with good manners, it really got me to thinking. Shoot, now I can't remember what it was!!! :miffedlook: OD Note to admin: after you do this, that, and every other thing, we need more emoticons, perhaps...just a thought. (please, thank you, never mind or all of the above) | |||||||||||||||||||||
