This occurred at end of the genocidal campaign against the Midianites. Moses, presumably under orders from God, ordered the soldiers to kill every boy and non-virgin woman. Presumably, a significant percentage of the latter would be pregnant. So, their fetus was killed along with the mother-to-be. The female virgins would be spared, because they were considered to have value. The fetuses would be destroyed, presumably because they were perceived to have had no value.

I'll also leave you this little excerpt from the story I posted for you about how others see the Divine...And I've done as the Divine wanted...I did the research, used the mind it blessed me with, and as such found the value of Jesus without making him a god. Nor do I have to bow to the Divine, as it wishes me to stand proudly by it's side and share the pleasures of diversity. We're a team, not servant and master.

As for child molesting, we're talking 1200 years ago!!! It was common for a woman to be married at 10-12 years of age. She was 6. Yes maam 6.Mary herself is thought to be around that age. It was a different time, a different era. You can't hold those that lived then to be held by the standards of today.
For the average Joe, your absolutly right. But for someone who is suppossed to be on the same level as Jesus himself, you bet your ass I will hold them to high standards.

As to your not responding to the story? I can understand why now you would have issues with it. Afterall, it's not adopting or settling for just one source or one conclusion, but embracing that all sources and conclusions are the same, just different approaches to that end.
I showed you respect by not talking about it. Do you consider this respect as well?
And since they do not embrace a one ideology based off of one accepted way of thought and practice...In your opinion it's wrong and based off of misinformation. I respect that. But my own beliefs and perspectives don't reach the same conclusion you have. For me, it's a personal matter. Shared with some, not with others. But I only applie to myself rather then expect anyone else to follow or believe as I do.
