Well, I don't believe that a woman who chooses to have an abortion because of child-raising issues/fears or health-related issues/fears is acting out an irresponsible behavior.

And I think that it would be a more responsible act on a couple's part to use contraceptives when they have sex yet don't wish to have children...even though, with perfect usage, those contraceptives aren't 100% effective.

This is true.

But it doesn't change the FACT that over 99% of all abortions are simply for the sake of convenience.

Yes, legal abortions ARE convenient.

They are convenient for women who fear, rightfully so, the arguably more dangerous situation of gestating and birthing a child.

They are convenient for women who wish to not to bring an unwanted child into this world.

They are convenient for families who feel that it is a more responsible act to abort their offspring at a less convient time in their lives in order to plan for having their offspring at a more convenient time.

And, I think most importantly, they are convenient for women who wish to be treated more similar to the way a man is treated by our government.

They're convenient for men & women who aren't responsible enough to NOT get pregnant, and are too selfish to deal with the consequences of their irresponsible behavior. Nice.

But it's also a whole lotta crap. You're killing babies. Period.
