Exactly.

My 98-year old grandmother cannot survive without help and care. Does that mean she should just be killed and torn to pieces, like people do with unborn babies?

Nobody is arguing if the fetus is alive or not. Just because it is alive doesn't mean a mother should be forced to let it develop to full term.

Unless of course you are arguing that no medical procedures should be given to anyone since it is against the will of God. That makes as much sense as your argument that women shouldn't be allowed to decide over their own bodies.

The example was DESIGNED to be absurd.

The fact is that you would force someone else to do something that you CAN'T.

And BTW, we already agreed couples should be taught not to get pregnant. I am a BIG proponent of BC.

You're absolutely correct.

They just use them for political fodder.

Not to mention, there is a HUGE difference between forced to look at disgusting pictures in 100 degree heat - and INTENTIONALLY go to an area that has been cordoned off for a parade.

In my entire life, I have never been FORCED to attend a parade or been FORCED to stand on the side of the street and watch the floats. Usually, if I am going to attend a parade, I have to park FOREVER from the event and walk miles to get to the parade route and then jostle for a place to watch.

There is no comparison between that and riding down the street and running into children being used a political fodder in a protest exhibition.
