Murder Twice?!
Hmmm,

It's funny that if you kill a pregant woman, you will be charged for murder twice. Once for the woman, and once for the child, yet some people have abortions? Is that not clearly murder?

Abortion is the woman's choice. Being shot in the stomach, for example, and having her unborn child killed is not choice. There is a difference.

The laws here in Australia are different to your laws, it would seem. Our laws do not allow prosecution for the death of a fetus, as a fetus is not considered human until birth, and is, therefore, without legal rights.

Are you allowed to abort the unborn baby at any time?? Or is partial-birth abortion not allowed?

I am not 100% sure, but I believe you are legally permitted to abort at any stage of the pregnancy.

In the case of LTA, I think there has to be something seriously wrong with the baby, or the mothers mental health must be severely affected for a LTA to be allowed.

However, even with laws regarding PBA/LTA in place, women are still obtaining them.

From what I understand, America is the only country in the world that allows partial birth abortion.

Australia allows it, too, depending on the circumstances.

Yeah, and it's a really awesome procedure.

A baby is turned around - in the womb - in order to be delivered breech. Then, during the live birth, JUST BEFORE THE HEAD EXISTS THE BIRTH CHANNEL, the doctor holds the baby back against the mother, takes a scissors and punctures the back of its skull.

The brains are then scrambled and sucked out.

Yes indeed, Americans are SUCH civilized people!

But hey, it's all good! It's not REALLY a baby! It's no different than a piece of hamburger!

so, THAT'S what happened to Jefferson.

It's nice that he posted his yearbook picture. What do you think was the motto chosen to accompany it?

In most places, partial birth abortion is not allowed unless there are VERY specific circumstances. ( I was educated about this because I took the stance that it should never be allowed.)

In severe cases of hydroencephalus (sp?) the fetus has a head that is large enough to prohibit natural delivery and cause great risk in a C-section. Unfortunately, in cases like this, the brain usually doesn't develop so the baby will die withing hours of birth regardless of medical intervention.

This is the RARE situation where I can accept partial-birth abortions.

The fetus is NOT viable and poses a risk to the mother's survival.

Other than that, I think that PBA are wrong beyond reason.
