Do you realize just how many we have killed?
Hello! I know a lot of people get tired hearing about abortion. But since we have the Freedom of Information Act, I decided to find out something on figures. I filled out the form for the Department of Defense and checked out the totals for all the American soldiers killed since 1900 to 2005. The Civil War could not be totaled for lack of good figures for the South.

But now we have killed more Americans since Roe v Wade than wars from 1900 til 2005. Odd isn't it. Seems like we have stood things on it s head.
We can kill a kid that gets in our way, and consider ourselves a progressive society, and become horrified at soldiers who died for their country. What is more important?

There is one folly in your argument... We did not kill Americans. To be an American you must be a person. Fetuses are not persons.

For the record, we never get tired of hearing about Abortion, it's a debate site! Welcome aboard. Please introduce yourself.

You have no right to force your religious morals on anyone but yourself.

I don't think god was mentioned...

But this is the first time I have seen fetuses called Americans!

It all stems back to christian morals with these people. But you are right... when you assume... yadda yadda yadda.

I saw the title of this post and I was all

Being serious now:

I don't think saving a barely-formed worm of a human baby is more important than saving a soldier who's seem more hell than any fetus has. But it isn't a question of whether or not the fetus deserves to die, which seems to be a popular argument in the pro-life community; the real question is whether or not the mother wants it.

Don't get me wrong, abortion as a form of birth control is utterly disgusting, but you can spot a woman with the wrong intentions like a soldier can spot a sniper -- that is to say- it's very, very hard.

If you ask me, it wouldn't matter a hell-of-a-lot if the growth of the human species is disrupted even in the slightest way.

If you want to worry yourself over the [mass] destruction of innocent life, look into the meat and lumber industries.

Agreed!

The pro-life types would have you believe that fetuses are little self aware beings... When in fact they are actually much more like parasites. I see it as being ony somewhat different from me having a leech. I could chose to nurture that leech, and let him syphon some of my blood. A single leech would not harm me much. Doesn't the poor leech have the right to live?

But the leech bothers me, so I pinch it's little leech head, and pull it off. Then I kill it.

I just don't see the importance in protecting 'potential people'. In that case men should not be allowed to masturbate, and women should not be allowed to go through PMS. We could save those eggs and that sperm and make lots of people... Don't those eggs deserve a chance to develop?

I hate abortion, I hate everything about it.

The only mistake this baby made was being born by an un-willing mother and it must face extermination due to a mistake. Never to see the light of day, not given the chance of life. It is ridiculous to me that this baby can have no say in its own life because the mother no longer wants it... Which further support my ideology that sex should not be embraced as much as it is.

Which is a weird position to have as a Christian. If you really believe in the idea of a soul then the baby got to skip this hell on earth and go straight to heaven. What greater gift a could mother give a child?

Just more hypocrisy if you ask me.
