Hogwash. My mom was fatherless from age 2, raised by her mom, grandparents and aunt, and she and my dad were married 54 years, until she died last August.

My point was that love does not need to come from a particular parent. Love does have to come from someone around the person. And guess what? Each one of us is around the person. We, who are blessed to know love, to know our value, to know self-respect, are the ones who need to be giving love not just to our family members, but to all members of our extended family. And if you go back in time far enough, you will find that we're all related, we're all family.

The world can use condoms. Abstinence until marriage is for Christians, not the world. The world be damned...and it is. From the beginning.

Christians should live by the Word of God. If they choose not to, then they should reconsider calling themselves "Christian". Christians follow their Teacher and Master, Jesus Christ. If they say they follow Him and live like the world, they deceive themselves.

FYI, I am not trying to change the world, only call Christians to repentance and a better way of life.

I couldn't care less what non-believers do. As I said, and the Word said it before I did, "the world is damned."

What I've written so far is generalized. Of course, your mother had a father--in her grandfather. Obviously, your great-grandfather acted in your grandfather's place.

There is a difference between a mother's love and a father's love. If you read the book I suggested, you will discover that.

However, for this to be taken seriously, there is a word missing that is very important: MAY. Those things MAY happen. They may not happen. They may also happen to girls who HAVE fathers. Every - EVERY - situation is different. Your author will NEVER convince me that the daughter of Jodie Foster, a single woman with no live-in male companion, is less happy or less well-adjusted than the daughter of John Wayne Gacy, a full-time father. There are way way way too many generalizations and broad-brushed statements for the piece to have scientific validity.

Why don't you just read the book and see what the "experts" say. It's possible you could purchase the book for less than $3.

I have to disagree. Every child deserves both father and mother. You know, God knew what He was doing when He created both. If He didn't think children needed a father (or mother), I'm sure He'd have formed them in such a way that they didn't need each other to procreate.

So clearly you can see that its more than obvious that you are not a Christian.

You just offended the work of Christ. What he died to give mankind is not doled out by how old they are when they have sex at all!!!

While you turn Christianity into a club, realize that folk like Tristan might be the one's that are not in the club, but are sitting at the table with Jesus.

In fact, Christianity is just some manmade label anyhow. What matters to the true believer is not if he is labelled a Christian, but rather that he is identified by Christ as His.
