It any case, it depends upon how you define life. I sperm and an ova are living, yes?

A tumor is also living, to the detriment of it's host. By technical definition, an embryo/fetus falls into the 'parasite' category. I don't view pregnancy in that way, but I recognize the parallels.

It is simply beyond the realm of logic that you would compare a tumor and an unborn baby.

The cell formed at conception is human. No one is arguing that fact. If you are using 'human being' in the context as PRSON, I would be inclined to disagree with your opinion.

I suppose that it is necessary to ask directly... What is your logical reason why abortion should not be allowed? I understand and respect that you have a strong emotional response, but I want to hear the logic, not the emotion.

Actually, to be consistent, anyone who declares a single fertilized egg as being a "person" MUST also declare that each and every single cell the results from divisions of that single cell and divisions of the resulting cells up until differentiation of those cells AS ALSO being "persons" since they each carry the potential to become individual viable human beings.

To grant the right to be gestated by a woman to ONLY ONE of those cells and not ALL of those cells on an individual basis is clearly inconsistent, in my mind.
