How do you justify and reconcile that?
I said I was against late-term abortions.

But what's the difference between early and late? If the "fetus" or "pre-born is not a person, and does not have rights, what's the difference?

A late-term fetus can survive on it's own.

Yeah, but you've already said they have no rights.

Also, what is the point in the gestation at which it can survive on its own? That point - even from the pro-abortionist side - is admittedly getting earlier all the time.

Once birth occurs and the first breath is drawn, THEN the baby legally has human rights and rights as a citizen.

Before that point the embryo/fetus has whatever rights that it's host chooses to give it.

Which is, truthfully, pro-abortion double-speak.

If I remember correctly, most medical people agree that the point of viability is at about 24 or 26 weeks.

(Personally, I am against abortion after that point.)

Explain how that is double speak.

The unborn to not have legal rights.

How is that double-speak?

The point is that 1) the parent would have had plenty of time to previously make their decision. and 2) late term abortions are dangerous to the mother also. I agree that the fetus has no real rights of it's own until such time as it can survive on it's own.
