Well, yeah. I don't think that the absence or availability of birth control is the issue.

I think it's about teenage girls respecting and valuing yourselves enough to know that you don't have to "put out" to get or keep a boyfriend. It's about deciding, "I have better things to do!"

But should she decide she would like to engage in premarital sex, shouldn't she be able to easily procure the pills necessary to avoid an unwanted pregnancy?

There are all manner of birth control methods that are readily available. Why insist on the one that has possible long-term side effects that we just don't know enough about yet?
