The late-Al Campanis, who was VP of the Dodgers in 1988, said some controversial things to Nightline's Ted Koppel about the African-Americans in not being able to hold front office positions in baseball, was himself fired for those comments. Do you all see? Everything has been blown out of proportion because nobody seems to know exactly what happened. It seems that whatever media source that we all got our info from put their own slant on things (not an uncommon thing with the media) to advance their own agenda. Now, as a result; we have the same story reported multiple different ways.

Just to recap, if some white kids display something that is aesthetically displeasing to some black kids, said black kids get to commit a hate crime against a random white kid, and get away with it. Why would anyone want black people to be held responsible for their actions? AFter all their ancestors were slaves almost 200 years ago, doesnt that make it ok? I mean their parents had to fight for their rights for years so that this generation of black kids could sling crack and join gangs, so they should have the right to do those things.

You sound like a freaking genius. I bet you don't have a single idea of your own do you? And what makes you so eminently qualified to judge? Have you experienced any of the things that would equate to their history in your own life? I'm guessing no. And if you want to be accurate, it has only been 40 years that black Americans have even had the right to vote. Go do some reading, widen your horizons and then come back with something that entitles you to a respectful audience for your ideas.

Oops, but that was not allowed in all places, even though it should have been. But that still isn't 200 years ago. 40 years ago they couldn't sit in the same section in a restaurant as whites, if they were allowed in at all. Sorry for my lack of specifics, I didn't think I need them on this topic. This person thinks life has been just great for blacks in this country for the last 200 years. Now, that's thinking that needs to be corrected, IMO.
