im offended that black men arent even a little disturbed by the mere thought of hangings. im only 35, i didnt live through that era, ive only experienced the backlash. but the elderly people that were at the townhall meeting, went through some of this, they marched with dr. king, they had firehoses turned on them. this time wasnt too long ago. so for black men, such as yourselves, to not be offended at this offends me. i dont give a "chit" if you have issues with my language. get over it. your such free speech advocates, here me expressing mine.
and for the record, again. once you go to the site and look around, you'll see that my wife is white. so that label of me being some problack militant is another stupid thought.

sorry peeps,
i still c myself as being connected somewhat to this generation. im not living in some soapbox or spoon fed bs so let me put this in my text as i always do. no i dont capitalize, or use punctuation at all when posting on blogs, message boards, etc. your doing good just 2 get vowels. i'm always in text messaging mode bcause i send about 500 text a day...so again, i will not apologize for this. get over it or ban me.
the language that i was speaking, take it away from here and put it on streetcred, vibeonline, datpiff.com, etc...or my own even. it fits in place with the environment and the mood. as educated as i am, seeing nooses piss me off. kind of like being called a nigga, but not as offensive, but offensive, nonetheless. it does still offend you to be called a nigga right?
the way you uncle toms are talking, im at fault for speaking the way that i did and not the damn nooses that made me speak the way i did.
and that damn rebel flag is completely and totally in context. most rednecks fly them proud just to tick off black people...like nooses. see the similarities. there were 100 people at the townhall meeting, all mixed ages, but most were over 40. they didnt experience that happened but it was fresh on their minds because their parents did. i dont like it when black people try and down play any type of hatred, misguided, ignorant or blatant. its all the same.
dont tell me what to be offended at. its offensive. not to you apparently because it wasnt offensive ENOUGH, but was it offensive to you at all? people need to be put in their place and checked to make sure that these inadvertent offensive dont continue to happen and become outright disrespectful acts of hatred.

Insisting that African Americans are the only group to which nooses have any reference is rather arrogant and ignorant.

Nooses have been used as a form of execution since mankind discovered vines.

It's like being upset at people using skeletons in their Halloween displays based on the fact that some African Americans were murdered and dumped and not discovered until that was all that was left.

you people have to be the dumbest smart people i have ever come across. listen to me once agian...
btw, my bitterness is to the people who wont make attempts to acknowledge even the small bits of racism, beit naive or blatant needs to be addressed...like yourself. and to say to say that i should leave the past behind, i have. but i will not forget it. and its ignorant to say such things.
and my point about hanging that you guys keep missing. im a multi-racial man. predominantly black, raised in the south. my perspective will come from that. if you have not experienced racism, if you are not from some sort of civic organization, then you should just shut up.
what would the white man/woman know or understand about the emphasis and impact that nooses, burning crosses, strange fruit, the "N" word, hip hop...these are things that if you have not lived it, experienced it, was raised in it, you will have no clue and you will come from a perspective that would be fresh and entertaining for a debate such as this but ignorant none the less. so please, just shut up! my perspective is from a 35 year old angry black man's point of view. if you have not been around any of the above, you opinion hold absolutely no merit or value.

i can see that the title, Racism or just too sensitive is true to this post when the room is full of black people who run from race issues and white people who doesnt think racism exist. this room is perfect. it gives a perfect example of how most people that are not from the south or was raised in the south really are.
if your upper middle class or above, if your white and not from the hood, if your black and raised anywhere above tennessee and 40 years or younger, if you even think to yourself, why is it ok for them to say nigga and i cant..., I Hate You. this room is perfect for you.
but if you hear the word nigga and it lights a fire under you and you cant explain why as if its part of your genetic code to be pissed off, if you look for subtle hints or racism after you give people the benefit of the doubt, if you understand history, learned from it and your adament about it not repeating itself, if you understand your rights, where they came from, and do not believe in taking away those same rights that people have died for for you to have today, then I Love You.
