No Jenifer. It is about you and me. The Truth is that God so loved the whole freakin' world. That world is made up of lots of yous and mes. But the fact is, we cannot take away from any discussion, our own viewpoints, our own experiences, our own environment and how it has impacted us...

And Jenifer, I don't know. FWIW, I am a Universalist.

I do not believe the fundamental teachings that many embrace as Christian, though I am Christian. I believe that Christ is the Savior of ALL.

You, me, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Lenin, Marx, Bush, BinLadin, Hussein, The Jews, The Muslim Peoples, The Christians, The Wiccans, The Hindus, The Buddhists, The Taoists, The Krishnas, every man, every woman, every boy, every girl. Every created being...

So I guess that takes away fear, supremacy and segregation, drawing and quartering humankind.

I truly do wish you well as you live your life in the shadows of fallacious reports that do not stand up to the integrity of responsible historical documentation.

And I do say that knowing that all of us, again you and me, make errors about many things. Yup, I am no better. No different.

But on this, Dear Girl, you are misinformed and sadly harboring a consuming zeal that is destructive mostly to your own soul.

I wonder if we can approach this topic again and from just a couple different outlooks.

First, to David, who never responds to my inquires, and to Jenifer, who has shown me that she does indeed take the time and thought to make response to my posts...

You see, "Jew" aside, Hitler would have led away to their deaths, two of my children, at least. I have two darling children that have disabilities. Their lives were the kind of lives that were written off by his orders too.

In fact, perhaps I too, showed a mental weakness many years ago, when I suffered a very serious case of post-partum blues. Perhaps caught in that funk, Hitler would have counted me infirm of mind, and I would have been led to my demise too.

Now on another take, who among us can at the very least, recognize that when one is truly victimized, there is a certain victim mentality that can creep in? And from it, a near tone of superiority can actually surface. How many can take note of that one who has been wrongfully violated, abused and that it can, and I do not mean has to, but can turn to be a way to always hold that VICTIM sign up high and use it to manipulate, to get special treatment? I say this because of a very, very dear girl I know. She was truly violated when she was only 11 years old. But for years after, even after the PTSD was well being managed, she "used" her victimhood. When she would do something that needed rebuke or correction, she malingered, drawing from her past pain to cry and emote, and again state the devastating thing that occurred.

I am not saying that the Jewish people have done this. But I am saying that perhaps there is a way to make peace with every side of this issue. For everyone, whether victim or villain to be humble and truly sorrow for EVERY life lost and truly forgive EVERY selfish, hateful act.

And then again, I am just saying...cos I know things are much bigger than anyone of us can even truly look at from every angle.

And NO, I am not compromising with the "haters" but we must be very careful that it is not so that we become haters of the haters.

Good post. One thing about Judaism that bugs me is the victim mentality that permeates nearly every aspect of the religion.

Where is my name in the topic of this thread? I realize you want to make it personal, because you are coming at the issue from an emotional position rather than from logic established by truth.

There is only one way to look that the Jewish Holocaust, and that is in the paradigm of "Is one person's death worth more than another's" Yes or no.

If one says no, then there was no Jewish Holocaust, because there is no distinction.

If one says yes, then they believe in Collectivism, trying to make the distinction that a person from their group perspective has more value than from another's.

The concept of race, "one is born a Jew", is at the core of Judaism. They created the Jewish Holocaust distinction because Racism or Race Supremacy is at the core of Collectivism and Collectivism is at the core of Judaism.

Jenifer, whereas neither your name nor mine are in the title of this topic, I believe we all ought to approach what happens to others in the context of "brotherhood". And we ought to not even attempt to dismiss emotions, as if reason by itself is a superior approach. We are, afterall, human beings, with faculties to think and reason, sense and feel. And altogether, we are whole and do draw our perspective from how we learn and how we are touched by any given information or experience.

That said, I think I am hearing you say that your main objection to claiming a "Jewish Holocaust" is that you wish to dismantle the distinctions of, nationality, ethnicity, race, and religion in all people. And that you also would admit to the devastation, the grief for all the lives lost by Hitler's evil machination of "The Final Solution" if we were to simply say, "X number of human lives were lost by his madness"...

I have a heart for world peace, for unity Jenifer. At one time, I had to think that through though to see the value in celebrating distinctions, in recognizing strength in learning and embracing differences, not a fuzzing of the lines that mark us as separate, but reaching past those lines to know one another, love one another. We need to protect the distinctions that make us who we are. That gives identity to individuals and character to our communities, to our nations, to our world. And there is an insidious danger to collectivism that wears like cultural genocide.

I think most here get troubled by your statements, by David's statements because it seems you are negating the evil killing spree of a crazed despot. I do not believe any here have extolled the Jewish people as better than anyone else. But they were not so many expendable lives, any more or any less than all the other lives that have ever suffered at the hands of evil men.

Once again it is up to me to put things in their true perspective. Yes, the holocaust really happened. Yes, there is a significant Jewish influence in our media. No, the Jews don't deserve persacuation any more than Christians do. Yes, Israel is one fucked up country. And.................YES, Jews look silly when they pray.
