I'm just hoping that the archives I sent a request in for (anything prior to 2000 has to have a written request to review), at the ICRC doesn't take the 3 months they said it would take to hear a response about. I'm actually looking forward to reading first hand the three references they mentioned in the letter as well as the letter itself.

Wow Alicorn, great job! So the document which originated from a Swiss newspaper was a tally of the number of Germans who were murdered in the camps (According to the ICRC), as opposed to it being a list of all the Jews who died. That makes a hell of a lot more sense. A gold star for you!

All lives lost in World War II are lamentable. No one ever has taken that away from the other lost lives. The truth that Hitler was a demonic man with an evil agenda to mow down an entire people group, to include the Jewish people, but also many other people that he despised as lesser than what was fitting his Master Race concept is what cannot be denied.

Actually Jenifer, 'girl Friday' isn't demeaning. The phrase was coined in the 1940's, it's deffinition being 'a resourceful young woman assistant to a male'. It's modern termonology being 'assistant, right-hand female, or hired hand'...

Every instance, including the concentration camps, were a holocaust. But each were seperate holocaust, of different situations/issues. Each resulted in unnecessary civilian deaths, period.
