Yup, that's why when you have city planners planning a diamond encrusted utopia, they always have the "affordable housing" section. Might as well say "the place for the servants".

Yup! That's the way it is. That's the way it will stay too. The only ones who truly oppose such a societal arrangement are the ones on the bottom of it.

Do you want to live next to someone who just moved out of the projects on a voucher? My mother's house is in a neighborhood where the houses are being bought up and put up for rent. And many of the people are coming from the projects on vouchers. The result, two murders, police sirens all the time, kids up and down the streets yelling at all times of the day and night, and VERY unkempt yards. It's scary the change that is coming over the place.

NO I wouldn't. We had this happen to us already when a bunch of Russian immigrants moved into the neighborhood. That proves that it's not just a black and white thing.

well maybe thats why city planners put in those affordable housing sections you talked about. so people who work hard like your mother dont wind up having the ghetto they worked hard to get out of moving right back in with her.

Yes, it is happening here in the US. That's because our own lower class that live in ghettos don't generally work for a living.

Wonderful sounding idea on paper. Unfortunately it never works. When the "vouchered" poor move in, the neighborhood quickly turns to piss.

and why do you think this is? is this the fault of others or is the fault within themselves?

Like PN said, these people ain't working. My mother is STILL working. Now she wants to move.

Depressed housing market and a neighborhood in "transition". She's in trouble.
