Chris Rock is a comedian, he's not having an serious debate with his audiences when he's saying stuff like that.

Listen, if a black guy makes fun of another black guy BECAUSE he's black, it's no big deal. It's like a fat person making fun of themself because they're fat. But when you go making fun of a fat person for being fat, they aren't assuming "oh this is just harmless fun". They're at a disadvantage in comparison to you and your health (or social standing in the case of blacks and whites).

It's common sense, man. Don't go looking to comedians for points to make in serious debates. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. You're just setting yourself up.

Calm down there, comrade, I hear what you're saying. But the example of Chris Rock is--to put it simply--terrible. The thing is that people can determine the difference between white people and white trash because there's a widly known distinction between the two, but the world doesn't know the difference between black people and "niggers", so as long as you use the term "nigger", you can't expect people to know that you're refering to black people that do bad things.

Chris Rock created that distinction for his set as a comedian, not to offer the intellectual world a definition of the word "nigger" and how it's different than your average black person.

Hum and let's see that is why you were suppose to read what i typed and that would set the difference between the two.

here you go someone other than a comedian saying it..

Town resident #5: You have blacks, and you have niggers. Blacks stayed at home during the march, the niggers are the ones that marched in Forsyth County. Forsyth County is a nice place to live.

Oprah: For white people. Let me ask you this: Can you please explain the difference between a black person—you say that we have black people and we have niggers—so what's the difference between a black person and a nigger?

Town resident #5: I've talked to black people. Black people, they don't want to come up here—they don't want to cause trouble. That's a black person. A nigger is the one, just like Hosea Williams—he wants to come up here and cause trouble all the time. That's the difference.

And another...

THE QUESTION:
R250: Black comedian Chris Rock is very specific about distinctions between "niggers" and "black people" (his words). I'd like to ask black people if they see this as a real distinction or just a comedy routine.

There is a distinction between blacks and niggers. To me, a black is a person who has pride and respect for being black. These are people who are positive contributors to society and strive to live positive lives. These are people who care about their children and work to provide their children with better opportunities than they might have had. A nigger is the type of person who really does not care about anyone. They are the worst of society. They are comfortable with taking what they want from other people without regard, and they have no respect for themselves or others. I enjoy living around and associating with blacks, but I avoid the other kind and do not want to be grouped with them in any way. They are the black equivalent of "white trash."

The distinction between black people and niggers should be as clear as that between white people and rednecks. The difference is in the values and intelligence of the individuals. While I don't think the word "nigger" is the best term to use, I believe most African Americans know exactly what Chris Rock meant, and white Americans could benefit from understanding the difference: The vast majority of black people love their children and family, go to work, go to church, vote, aspire to own businesses and homes - I could go on, but a great many whites and others are, most likely, beginning to get the point. As much as the media would have you believe otherwise, blacks who kill indiscriminately and sell and use drugs are not representative of even a fourth of the African-American population; they just get the most media exposure because terror and controversy sells. This makes it difficult for the majority of us to enjoy our lives because we get squeezed from both sides: On one side you have white America, which for the most part fears and despises us, and on the other there are the "niggers," who have no use for us unless they want to steal or vandalize our property or use our children for target practice. I found Chris Rock's routine not just funny, but almost therapeutic!

You could find sites that support the view of the KKK if you really wanted to. It is an easy question to answer. How do you feel personally about blacks, or African Americans (whatever you want to call them)?

what i was showing you that you seemed to not see was it was not just a comedian who had these viewpoints and you said i shouldn't use a comedian so there are a bunch of other people who are being serious when they are explaining it.. and i think everyone should have equal rights not more rights or special rights. I believe in what Martin Luther King wanted, not what Malcom X wanted..
