Nope, this is reality unfortunately. It makes most tourists jaws drop as this country is supposed to be wealthy.

Sure some people are unfortunately born in a ghetto, but they are not forced to live life in a ghetto. The oppurtunity to use your mind and be who you want to be is an option some people just don't want to take.

I laugh everytime my russian friend talks about how some American's complain when it's so easy to achieve the American dream.

It would be easier for a Russian to make it in American than a black man from the hood. Book or no book.

I think the black man from the hood has the chance to make it in America if he puts his mind to it. If it were decades and decades ago, well then I would agree with you.

The hood has gotten wealthy during the last few decades?

???Apples and oranges...i'm saying that people in the hood have the oppurtunity to make it in America.

And I'm saying that opportunity is slim to none.
