As long as people are not given equal protection under the law, you will have Al Sharpton and others speaking out against that kind of injustice. There is still a need for those who don't turn their heads when our criminal justice system denies people that.

Actually though, in the case of the 90 year old woman, it turned out the cops lied and there was a big scandal. A couple cops were actually arrested and are serving time.

I don't know how the New York groom thing turned out. But that one was very fishy too.

This thread actually listed a couple of instances where Sharpton's "services" would actually be useful.

The old lady thing isn't a racial issue, it is a police state issue. The police can kick in your door and kill you for defending yourself because some piece of shit crackhead CI says someone is selling drugs? Great, so my life is in the hands of fucking pookie from New Jack City. I am impressed by that old woman's tenacity, she had more balls than anyone I know. But at any rate she shot 3 people who were breaking into her home, and that makes her a hero, even if they were fucking cops. Pieces of shit.
