I think it is ridiculous to say a black person doesn't have as much of a chance to excel in life as much as a white person. I will never agree with that. Anybody who works hard will get a good job regardless of skin color. The left is so fixated on equal rights, they don't realize that they are not helping.

How can giving a less qualified person a job help anyone? I mean honestly, can you answer me that? If the left would quit telling minorities that they have less of a chance to succeed compared to a white man, affirmative action would never have exsisted. But, they need the minority vote.

Everyone has a chance to make something of themselves, why does skin color matter? For the love of Christ, It is shit like AA, that is holding us back from actually having equal rights.

That is just simply false. There is not equal opportunity for all races from start to finish. It does not exist in America today. Anyone (Fox News?) who is telling you otherwise is bullshitting you. I bet if I asked all of my African American friends if they thought there was equal opportunity from birth to death for all races in America they would laugh at me.
YES, THERE IS! It is crap like this which is making it almost impossible to spread equal rights. telling a black person that they dont have as much of a chance as a white person is complete bullshit. Why does the left continue to mutter this crap?

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

YES, THEY DO! The ones you are talking about, don't have an education. What good comes from that? Do you expect a person who does not have an education to get a good job, of course not.

In American, anyone can achieve greatness, if they just get an education. Why is it so hard to understand, that blacks are not getting discriminated as much as you think they are. There will always be that one racist person but in general most people are not racist and will hire the most qualified person for their business.

In my opinion you have hit the root of the problem. In America not everyone has access to the same education. It is a root of discrimination in America.

Everyone has the right to go to high school, If you work hard and get good grades, the better things in life open up for you. I think you need to get out of the projects and realize that isnt how all black people live. Many of the wealthiest houses in Omaha are owned by black people.

I don't know why we insist on telling black people they don't have as much of a chance as a white man because that is complete shit to me.

do you think it's ok for white people to be discriminated. I'm not prejudice but where i'm from they have all kind's of programs and housing if you're not white! I want to know where equal came into this? it's already over populated and people keep comin' in because white people are getting pushed out and not givin' the chance for equal right's.

In my opinion anyone who supports affirmative action is a racist.

They support a cultural divide in our nation, they believe that someone SHOULD be judged by the color of their skin, and they decide to discriminate against whites because a couple hundred years ago blacks were slaves.

I have said it before but the left will continue to support AA to keep the minority vote. Once minorities realize that they have just as much of a chance as every other person in this nation, they wont be leaning so liberal.

Its wrong to tell a minority, that they were born inferior to a white person, that's all I am getting out of Hev. You can actually tell me that blacks are born at a disadvantage, that is complete bullshit. ANYONE born poor has to work harder black or white, that is just stating the obvious. I was born terribly poor, I even had to live with my grandparents because my dad couldnt support us but I got good grades, worked hard, and I have college paid for.

Affirmative Action is just racist in nature. I dont care what happened in the 1800's we can't do anything to change it. But what we can do is try to end discrimination by getting rid of the one thing that is still spreading it, which is Affirmative Action.

I can't wait to hear well... The United States is racist. Where can you go in the world where you won't find any type of racism? No where. Affirmative Action is such a load of shit.

When your school is falling apart (literally) and your mind is on your security rather than school work there is not an equal playing field by any stretch of the imagination.

By the way Nebraska only has 4% African Americans, which is nothing compared to my home state and those around me (MD 27.9%, DC 60.0%, VA 19.6%, DE 19.2%).

So enjoy your Nebraskian point of view, but have some insight elsewhere for the sake of our nation.

I guess, you can always expect high poverty and racism from a very liberal place...

Anyways, sorry Hev, but you can't fight racism with racism...
