Level up: 46%, 181 Points needed | | Unfortunately, Our parents did not have things such as 401K plans ESOP plans, IRA's and other retirement savings tools. Many thougfht(and still do) that Social Security would take care of everything. We all know that it won't. It was not established taking into account the rising cost of living as we know it is today. What do you think can be done? |

What do you think can be done? | Many of them did have the option of choosing these plans, but didn't. When the ponzi scheme called Social Security was first passed, the benefits were to start at an age BEYOND the average mortality rate of the American worker. IRA's have been around for decades....we used to sell them. ESOP's and things like that were up to the employer to offer, and 401Ks as well. But many didn't choose them even where offered.
These things were always available through your friendly local insurance agent, but the bulk of humanity has no understanding of insurance, and think it's a dirty word and insurance agents are like used car salesmen.
People who didn't prepare have themselves to thank.

Class warfare is where the wealthy just want the working people to work until they die. When working people are not working and producing they become a problem. Wealthy people would rather you be dead than be a problem. |

They wonder why the poor hate the rich and feel oppressed.
