The abortion issue isn't a legislative issue, and isn't decided by the president. It's in the courts, began with them, and will ultimately be determined by them.
Presidential elections are never decided on single issues. I'd be lots more leary of his stance on gun control than abortion because I know the president doesn't determine abortion policy.
Fact is, if Rudy gets the nomination, and he very well could barring a more compelling and popular candidate, even abortion foes will weigh heavily his other experience and strengths and/or weaknesses. Most will make a determination on whether or not to vote for him based on the views of his opponent. Rudy's best experience is executive, not legislative.
