American History X
This movie was a good movie, its about how a "leader" of the skinheads changed his ways and realized that were all equal in every way.


Very good, ending is un-expectable.
The man who moved a mountain started by carrying away small stones.

I liked that movie very much... Edward Norton's performance was amazing.

Seems to me a bit implausible, though... I mean, how often do people so militantly hateful get "turned"? Anyone have any statistics?

I don't know the stats but I saw a guy on a talk show not too long ago that had turned. He is covered with white supremacy & nazi tatoos. Now he is having them removed and he is married to a Jewish woman.

I remember an episode of Tyra Banks with Shirly Phelps Roper being brought on with two of her daughters. One of the commentators in the audience was a reformed nazi skinhead and convicted murderer. From what I could tell, he was very passionate in his opposition to the Phelps clan.

AHX is one of my favorite movies. It's absolutely incredible.

Is it one of those 'conservative bashing' type of films? Because if it is, I have no interest in seeing it.

At some points in the film..their was a discussion that was very racist, and also involved insults against liberals and Hillary Clinton. Because those remarks were by the skinheads, it makes the conservative party look bad.

But the plot of the film really had nothing to do with "bashing conservatives"

I've seen American History X many times because it's just a great film.

No... it came out several years ago... it's a fictional film about a guy who's a neonazi, he kills a black guy, ends up in jail and... he changes his mind about the whole white supremacy thing... and what happens when he does. Has Edward Norton, Lawrence Fishburne, Fairuza Balk and that kid from Terminator 2 in it.

Not really. It's nore anti-racism than anti-conservative, even though many of the characters are pretty far to the right.
