| Sidebar I wanted to conduct a quick poll to see how many people are in favor of bringing back the sidebar. Personally I think the discussions progressed faster with the sidebar, because you could see the topics that were active right now. Currently, without the side bar, too many topics get buried in the threads before they can really pick-up... I know I miss a lot of things unless I take the time to visit each and every forum, but then that limits my activity in that forum... What do you think? | As much as I hated it, I think you are correct. As long as the Break.com and CNN.com feeds are kept out of it. I also think it would be better showing last 20 posts instead of 10. | I also agree that we should keep CNN and Break.com out of it, and I definitely think 15 - 20 posts listed would be an improvement. | I did like the side bar for its user friendiness. I agree, some of the threads do go by the wayside, though, without it. I have somewhat adapted to this set up by going to Today's Posts and just scrolling down. I know RHS had mentioned the pages will load alot slower with the side bar. I'm thinking we need to consider, do we want to trade speed for ease? Either way will work for me. Sorry... Still having my first cup of coffee... I don't think the pages will load that much more slowly, I thought it was fine before, speedwise. It just seems like going through the today's posts thing adds a step... | The forum seems to load much quicker, and you get more room - and now we have a "Today's Posts" link at the top of each page, I find it's easy enough to scroll down through that. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| It worked really well. The sidebar was great for alerting me to new posts on topics I was debating, and considering I'm a guy who only concentrates on a few threads at a time, that's very useful.
