The economist is such a slanted magazine. Not a very good source for unbiased information (and over-priced to top it off).

If the riots were caused solely by the economy and unemployment you would see white folks rioting as well. This just isn't the case. This is a racial issue:

It wasn’t racial; the poorest people in France are immigrants. They just happen to be Islamic. They are rioting because they can’t find a job. When 25 percent of your population is unemployed you have problems.

It is racial. Two north African immigrant kids hid from police in a power station and got electocuted. That is how the rioting started.

That was a quote from the prime minister, not CNN. The national average of ALL the population in france is 24%.

My bad, it is 10 percent of the total 60,000,000 in the country. But in densely populated cities they have close to 30 percent unemployment. We have close to 300,000,000 people with 5.1 percent; they only have 60,000,000 with 10. I'll take our country any day.

This is what drives my nuts about you Hev, everything is a racial issue to you. The rioting was done because these people could not find jobs and my bet is that they were not very educated. No education, no job. It isn't different colored skin no job.

I just wish that people would get over this racial profiling shit.
