Stiches
Well, other people have been posting about them being sick and how they would be leaving for a break or something, so, i thought i would post something.

I recently had 6 stiches, recently being Thursday, because i cut my foot open. I was running around with my cousins down by the lake. There are these poles that hold our docks in place. Well, i was running and i hit a pole that was sticking out of the ground. I cut my foot open, 2 inches wide and about 1 1/2 inches deep. They stuck me with a needle 10 times, 5 of them to numb my foot and the other to see if i felt it.

So, i now have 6 stiches for the next 2 weeks. It hurts to walk but, I volunteered at our church for Vaction Bible School. Oh well.

Anyone else here have stiches?

none at the moment but i needed 20 when i was young and playing on a tire swing at my aunts house. Well it had stoped raining like 3-4 hours eariler so there was a little amount of water still on the swing.....well anyways im swining along and i got too vertical and fell off the swing falling straight down onto one of those collapsable lawn chair with the exposed steel arm rests....the back of my left arm hits it with enough blunt force to break open a 2 1/2in long and 2in deep gash....i was like 7 so it really really hurt.

OUCH!!! I have had stiches before. I had 7 stiches on my leg when i feel between the ladder and the dock, bone was perfectly exposed. When i was in kindergarden we had to do 2 laps around our tiny playground before we could play. Well, my shoelace was untied. I DID NOT know this. So, i was running and boom, i hit the ground. I opened a nice 3 1/2 gash right above my eyebrow. (it hung over my eye). I had 13 stiches and it didn't feel to good.

I HATE Stiches.

Anyone else?

Not now. When I was a kid I once had a puncture wound in my foot that took 5 stitches. I stepped on a sharp rock that was about an inch thick and drove into the sole of my foot and almost all the way through.

I remember all the shots vividly! Did you have to have a tetanus shot too?

Sounds like you did quite a number on you foot. Hope you heal quickly.

You on crutches or pain medication?
It's good to hear you're still able to get around and do things.
I hope that is taking your mind off it.

I didn't either, I don't think it does. My foot just would not numb and they did their best, but it still hurt.

No, on a cane, it's a bit better so i got rid of them. YES, i love my pain medication, especially if i accidentally put enough wieght on the cut. I'm so happy i can still walk, or i would have to say "bye" to vaction bible school. I love working with the kids. That reminds me, i was baptised on Sunday, they wrapped my foot in a trash bag and duct taped it to my leg.
