Is global warming a red herring?

I see a lot of focus put on the issue of global warming and whether or not we're causing it.

I'm wondering if it's effective for the "green" side to be invested too much in this argument. It's pretty evident that we are polluting our environment on a monumental level. From "plastic oceans" to the infestation of GM foods on a grand scale, we are clearly corrupting our biosphere. Global warming is obviously a serious issue but not the only issue and it seems that it has become the focus of -any- environmental debate.

Personally, I think it's more important to inform people about the level of destruction we're inflicting than to spend all your effort to convince them of one (albeit serious) environmental issue.

Thoughts?

Hand of Doom

What you gonna do
Time's caught up with you
Now you wait your turn
You know there's no return

Change your empty rules
You join the other fools
Turn to something new
Now it's killing you

First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm
Disillusioning, you push the needle in
From life you escape, reality's black drape
Colours in your mind satisfy your time

Oh you, you know you must be blind
To do something like this
To take the sweet that you don't know
You're giving Death a kiss
Poor little fool now

Your mind is full of pleasure
Your body's looking ill
To you it's shallow leisure
So drop the acid pill
Don't stop to think now

You're having a good time baby
But that won't last
Your mind's all full of things
You're living too fast
Go out, enjoy yourself
Don't bottle it in
You need someone to help you
Stick the needle in, yeah

Now you know the scene
Your skin starts turning green
Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality
Push the needle in
Face death's sickly grin
Holes are in your skin
Caused by deadly pin

Head starts spinning 'round
You fall down to the ground
Feel your body heave
Death hand starts to weave

It's too late to turn
You don't want to learn
Price of life is high
Now you're gonna die

The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of his friends and advisors, what are we to conclude about George W. Bush:
Stop the madness before us it stops!
Σταματήστε την τρέλα προτού να μας σταματήσεϊ Greek

First what we need to do is defined Global Warming,
and I am NOT speaking about definding no parts in
Al Gore's documentary. Sure our global weather is
continuing to change, and weather cycles are
constantly fluctuating, yet the rationale behind
global warnings is up in the air.

Global warmings is considered as emission of gases
resulting in a change in climate patterns resulting in
increased temperatures. Some people are arguing
that global warning has nothing to do with human
interference.

The IPCC (Inetergovernmental Panel on Climate
Changes). Which is a United Nations organization,
states that countries should start taking action now.
The report has created an active plan to protect
the world from the effects of global warming. The
plan is a way to avoid a disaster.

Actually, We are responsible for keeping our global
environment clean and emission free. Smog is the
most dangerouis emission that's used to damage our
environment.

Even at the time of War is poisoning our environment,
and what we need to do is to respect the environment
as a priority. The emission & waste is poisoning our
land and waterways.

In closing, The environment is ours, and its also for
our children and their children. We need to learn more
about environmental issues that effect us everyday,
and do our share now to take care of this issue
regardless to who created the problem.
