LOL! I wasn't the first - I missed the "Happy Independence Day" thread.

Anyway, most of the Founding Fathers were from British stock

Seriously though, I don't think too many Brits are sore about the War of Independence. By overthrowing an autocratic and insane monarchy in America, and implementing liberal democratic values and establishing a constitution, that had a ripple effect that meant that the British monarchy itself had to change dramatically. I doubt the UK would have the level of democracy it does today if Bunker Hill had gone the other way.
