But Fox gave us MUCH more coverage of Ana Nicole Smith than the other so-called "news" channels. They keep their fingers on the public pulse.

FOX also neglected to mention that we are about to accomplish in about 4 years what Saddam accomplished in a decade, a body count of about 600,000 Iraqis.

That's right. The days of Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite reporting the news with journalistic integrity are long over. Nowadays, it is all about ratings. What you stated, Antithesis, was the real story here. The story that was not about ratings, but about real news. Journalism (television and print) really needs an overhaul today.

FOX News is allowed to broadcast the news however they see fit. If you don't like their broadcasting style, turn it to something else.

Many of the stories you see on Fox you don't see on the other channels. Furthermore, many of the stories pointed out by you link have been aired on the other channels.

See a trend here????? News hound watches Fox for you, and then gives you the news from the Washington Post, New York Times and other Main Stream and not so main stream news sources.

Since the stories are in the media, and Fox is the only one carrying these other stories, seems to come out balanced doesn't it??

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

In my opinion there are a lot of negatives in watching just one news source. Indeed, I feel if I watch, listen, or read to only mainstream news media there's a lot of news I'm not receiving.

From what I've experienced, Fox is heavily biased towards the republican side of the argument, but then I've seen some examples on Fox that would not necessarily indicate a total bias.

Much of the news, mainstream or otherwise, seems heavily opinionated. I'd prefer to just have the facts and be allowed to form my own opinion.

Also, there's an awful lot of news that I feel is under reported or not reported at all. But then, this is my personal bias, which if I had control of the media, would be reflected in the reporting on that media.

jaaaman's solution would seem to be one alternative.

I can agree with you there, Sir. I. too, would also like to hear the news without the network bias so that I might form my own opinion.
Also, for accuracy's sake, I do wish the media (not only FOX) spend a little more time and effort on verification.
