| I'd love to have an M-14 in the straight, standard issue "no frills" form. And an M-1 Garand too. | Oh, and another thing. One of the few things I thought was utterly unrealistic about "Saving Private Ryan" was how fast they shot the Garands in that movie... "Pop, pop, pop-pop-pop"... with almost no recoil. For heaven's sake, that thing is a 30.06... | On Mail Call they did a part on the Garand and even fired a clip from it and Erme fired the whole clip in about 5-8 seconds with nice acuracy and little recoil. Thats what made the gun so great.
