When I see the name IBM I always think of the movie space odyssey 2001 with their "HAL" computer (the letters right before IBM).

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Not to mention the Business Plot that planned to overthrow FDR and the US government in an attempt to install a fascist regime modeled after their German friends at the time; a plot which our current President's grandfather was a part.

Crazy shit! Looks like they did what they set out to do... just a few generations later.

I don't mean to seem like I'm defending Nazis here, or IBM for that matter.

But realistically, CEOs have obligations to their shareholders.

And I doubt IBM's charter for profiting for shareholders has an exception for the despicable.

In addition, we've got ~20:20 historical hindsight.

I'm not so sure Hitler, though clearly a nut, was in the '30's & early '40's fully known for the depth & breadth of evil that we know today.

If you ever look at the ovens, and other Nazi extermination apparatus, you'll see familiar names, such as Diebold (the folks that are making our crooked new voting machines), etc.

So this YouTube piece raises the question; why pick on IBM?
Perhaps a more sensible question might be, which companies didn't deal with the German government during those years.

Yeah, tell me about it. I think it was Major General Smedley who blew the whistle on it.
