| Dog Shoots Owner A Memphis, Tenn., man is in critical condition Wednesday after his dog shot him in the back. Police say King George, a 150-pound Great Dane, accidentally knocked a .22-caliber pistol off his owner's end table around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. The gun went off, hitting his 21-year-old owner in the back, MyFOXMemphis.com reports. "I knew he was smart, I didn't think he was that smart," the victim's fiancee, Miesha Lucas told MyFOXMemphis.com. "He was always protective. I didn't think he would be like that." Police refused to name the victim as they do not plan to file charges in the shooting, which they've ruled as accidental. Lucas told MyFOXMemphis.com that she fears what her fiance will do to the pet once he gets out of the hospital. | This should be under humor, not gun control... One more reason we need more gun education in this country... What is sad is this kind of fear mongering by the media will only get the left all hopped-up on their anti-gun kick... Don't fear liberty. I'm always suspicious of this kind of thing. I've dropped my .22 and my .357 magnum, not to mention a few hunting rifles, and never had one 'accidentally go off'. Bother not the cat. For they are sneaky and will piss on thy keyboard. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

I was going to put it there... but the guy is in bad shape. Not really that funny until he fully recovers. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- "There is no such thing as laziness. Laziness is only lack of incentive." | If you have dropped so many weapons have you considered that maybe you are ill suited to possess them? I've dropped a weapon once, and my punishment was severe enough that I have never done it again. I'm rather known for being a klutz. It comes from trying to do too damn many things at one time. I make it a habit now, when I'm handling a gun, to ONLY concentrate on handling the gun. Haven't dropped one in years. I'm not allowed to handle machetes at all anymore. Bother not the cat. For they are sneaky and will piss on thy keyboard.

| Have you fallen into a campfire resulting in having to have 'burn debreding' done, and almost taken of a finger with a machete? In a two year span? Also, ER visit to remove rusty fish hook from my wrist and ER visit for sprained back. Bother not the cat. For they are sneaky and will piss on thy keyboard. | |||||||||||||||||||||

I got second degree burns on my hand while grilling. Burnt my arm badly with a hot drill bit. And once got my hair tangled in the motor of a drill so badly that we had to cut my hair loose and then take the drill apart to clean the motor. I also knocked myself out cold with a baseball bat once. And last year I mangled my left index finger with a pruning saw. Not an electric one, one of those little Japanese jobs that folds up like a pocket knife. OK Now I am beginning to wonder why I am still allowed to play with sharp objects. ![]()
