What would you have done with your $4100??
Yep, that is how much the Iraq war has cost each American thus far. 456 billions dollars total.

So what would you have done with your $4100??

I would probably have:
a) Bought a little moped to fly around town.
b) Bought some pro audio gear
c) Taken a nice vaction

Mine would probably have gone for medical bills.

Mine would go towards my mortgage or some other bill.

Realistically, we would never have seen that money. It is not, after all, real. It is imaginary money that is supposed to materialize magically some fine day to pay off the war debt.

We are at war on the never, never plan.

Ironically the Iraq war is being funded mostly by the countries who opposed it - China, Japan, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Saudi....

But there WAS the $300 check that I got after Bush got into office.

Remember how popular that was? "Elect me and I will send you $300." And it worked! (Along with a little voter fraud.)

What did you guys do with YOUR $300?

At the time, I was self-employed, so I just put it toward next year's taxes with my next estimated tax payment. And what do you know, I still needed to pay in!

Tax cut, my butt. It was just the first stunt of a stunt-driven presidency.
