Media still ignores the massacres in the Congo & Ruwanda
The killing continues in the Congo and Ruwanda. This week Three (3) of the Iris churches and their villages were slaughter and the world stands by and closes their eyes. Email reports of lost lives, and many unimaginable brutal atrocities. These violent groups not only killed both adults and children. After the women raped and maimed. They cut off body parts. Even cutting the breasts off of the women they had raped.

The media ignores as the masses in these church villages are murdered and maimed. The hatred is not limited to spewing forth words of belief and non belief as children and their parents are being slaughter for belonging to a Christian church community.

For all those who hate Christians this is an apparent a victory as it has been happening for years now and no one has lifted a finger to assist or protect the innocent. It is much easier to stay behind the safety of your computers, acuse and sling insults at all of those with faith than open your eyes to the truth of what is transpiring in these remote villages of the world.

One thing to keep in mind is hatred truly knows no bounds. Even if you could destroy the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims once they are gone you could very well be next in line.

What are we supposed to do with countries that murder there own people? Should we send in troops and take over the government?

Should not the world at least look at these people and see what is happening?

I would think that of all the do gooders throughout the world that are working on cramming their thoughts and remedies down the throats of others something could be done about the slaughter of the innocent.

Remember the line from "Sahara"?

"This is Africa. Nobody cares about Africa".

It's sad, but true. Our news media would rather talk about the latest exploits of Paris Hilton or Anna Nicole Smith then how people are dying around the world.

And you know why? It's because people watch it. If people didn't watch it, then they wouldn't do it.

Just like the National Enquirer. If ignorant people wouldn't buy that trash they would go out of business.

We only interevene when there is something for us in it.

Just like with the North Korea situation we are ignoring.

If there was oil or strategic territory or political advantage or power or SOMETHING there to be gained, we would be there.

Since they have none of that, it's not worth our investment.
And by that, I mean our money.

Wasn't that the same case when Iraq first invaded Kuwait, which brought on Desert Storm, Forester? It had to have been related to oil as well, not just Saddam wanting to invade a tiny country.

I didn't read what you thought should happen - and by whom.

I don't know what to do. Smarter people than me don't know what to do. What do YOU think should be done?

Not a big movie buff but I do have a faint memory of that line.

The media reports the body counts in other nations. Selective reporting I think more because these people do not have a voice that will stand for them and show what is happening in these faint little out of the way villages.

These areas are not lacking wealth gaining resources. The fact is the riches of these remote areas are being sought after by unscrupulous corporate raiders.
The Democratic Republic of Congo - Global Issues

Regardless of people who wish to destroy churches throughout the world truth is these are the ones taking care of many of the people displaced by continued wars over the land there.

Reported by Rueters, June 25, 2007

Even though the Democratic Republic of Congo has held its first open elections in 40 years, violence by militias and foreign troops near DRC's borders threatens millions of refugees who have endured decades of conflict. United Nations figures indicate 3.5 million people have been displaced by DRC's decades of war, even though the country is home to the U.N.'s largest peacekeeping force.... http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/from...8295485444.htm

The peacekeeping forces are not allowed to actually keep peace! They are there to protect the money interest in these nations. We are already paying for the support of Peacekeeping. I think they should be allowed to actually keep the peace and stop these murders from continueing.

Tristain I believe that each and everyone has the obligation to protect each other from these abuses. We spend more money supported the United Nations troops standing there watching over the foriegn interest in these country than anyone here knows. If the peace keeping forces are there they should be actually keeping the peace for all. They need to prosecute all of those killing others not just the ones who kill foriegn nationals working there for corporate interest.

International courts wait for the atrocities to happen then say, "Oh how tragic we must do something". I believe something should be done before this happens. World courts are letting the roots of these evil actions live on for the greed of a few who start these hatred plaques. The courts prosecute a few of the hired killers but do not go after the money people that started putting the killers into action to serve their purposes.
