| Is Mexico expanding it's borders back into the US? Should Americans support this bill? I recieved this in an email. "Representative Ruben Hinojosa (D-TX) introduced a bill that would fund the National Council of La Raza – a pro-illegal immigrant group. The bill, named the Hope Fund Act of 2007 (H.R. 1999), would allot $5 million to La Raza in 2008, and $10 million each year thereafter. La Raza advocates the elimination of the U.S.-Mexico border, and actively supports legislation that would grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants currently residing within the United States. According to its website, La Raza supports an immigration bill that would include: A path to citizenship for the current illegal immigrant population The creation of new legal channels for future immigrant workers A reduction of family immigration backlogs Congress has no constitutional authority to finance any activist group, let alone an anti-American one such as La Raza. They are trying to create authority to finance an activist group that supports elimination of the Mexico border." "Click here to view the Hope Fund Act of 2007. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:h.r.01999: Click here to learn more about the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (S. 134 H.R.1999 Title: To authorize appropriations for assistance for the National Council of La Raza and the Raza Development Fund. Sponsor: Rep Hinojosa, Ruben [TX-15] (introduced 4/23/2007) (a) Use- The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall, to the extent amounts are made available pursuant to subsection (b), make a grant to the National Council of La Raza for the purpose of providing technical and financial assistance to local non-profit organizations to undertake community development and affordable housing projects and programs serving low- and moderate-income households, particularly through organizations located in neighborhoods with substantial populations of income-disadvantage d households of Hispanic origin. Assistance provided by the Secretary under this section may be used by the National Council of La Raza or the Raza Development Fund to-- (1) provide technical and financial assistance for site acquisition and development, construction financing, and short- and long-term financing for housing, community facilities, and economic development; (2) leverage capital from private entities, including private financial institutions, insurance companies, and private philanthropic organizations; (3) provide technical assistance, training, support, and advice to develop the management, financial, and administrative capabilities of housing development organizations serving low-income households, including Hispanic households; and (4) conduct such other activities as may be determined by the Secretary and the National Council of La Raza. (b) Authorization of Appropriations- There is authorized to be appropriated for grants under this section-- (1) $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2008; and (2) $10,000,000 for each fiscal year thereafter." Did you all know that federal Grants money already supports groups that support illegal immigrants? I found it by a fluke one day. If we must have political pork shouldn't it be feeding and taking care of the needs of American citizens? | |||||||||||||||||||||

| There is a right-wing wacko evangelist on the radio here in SoCal who believes there is a conspiracy to merge Canada, Mexico and the US into a single country. And that Bush supports the idea: GOODBYE AMERICA! HELLO NORTH AMERICAN UNION & GET READY FOR THE RETURN! In a few short years America as we know it could be gone forever. Yet, the vast majority of American’s have absolutely no clue about what is about to happen. Whether you want to believe it or not, there is a coming merger with Canada, Mexico and the United States. Paul McGuire The second phase of this operation will be the implementation of a new constitution entitled The North American Union Constitution. According to its planners, this North American Union Constitution will be a mirror of the current European Union Constitution. What’s wrong with a North American Constitution modeled after a European Union Constitution? Will first of all the Pope said the European Union Constitution is anti-Christian. Second of all, if you look at Germany, a fifteen year old Christian homeschooler was arrested and thrown into a German Psychiatric Unit against her parent’s will because she was diagnosed as having “school phobia.” Christian homeschooling parents are being handcuffed, arrested and Christian mothers strip searched. Many Christian German homeschooling families are fleeing the country because they have lost their religious rights under the European Union Constitution. I believe that if a North American Union Constitution is implemented here Christians will face the same level of persecution, and will lose their Constitution right to Freedom of Religion forever! Yet, the vast majority of Christians have no idea about what is happening. Christian leaders are not informed about the issue, and fail to understand that this is the most threatening issue to Christianity in our nation. One of my listener’s called a so-called conservative radio talk show host. When he was asked about the coming merger he had a temper tantrum on the air and said the whole thing was basically crazy. Despite his emotional outburst he has absolutely no facts to back up his assertion. I have asked White House Press Secretary Tony Snow about this on my show, and he essentially denied it. I asked Tom Delay about it and he knew it was a reality and urged people to contact their elected representative. Lou Dobbs of CNN has done an entire series of stories on this. What people do not understand is that there is a serious plan to merge Canada, Mexico and the United States. The NAFTA superhighway’s are under construction in Texas, and will go up to Kansas City, Missouri and beyond. In fact, there is “smart port” planned for Kansas City. Interestingly enough, Kansas City has no water around it, so why would they call it a “port?” Fourteen states have now introduced legislation in attempt to block this North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway’s. But, it doesn’t stop there! The “Guest Worker Program,” according to journalist James Lambert is an amnesty program. The reality is that when millions of immigrants come into the United States they will become a massive voting block for socialist style government and the implementation of the North American Union. In essence, an end-run has been done around the Democratic voting process, and your vote will mean nothing because it has been diluted by millions of voters who will not share your values and concerns about America and your Constitutional freedoms. I want to make this very clear. This is not a racial issue! I would be saying the exact same thing if we were talking about men and women from Sweden or Germany who wanted a socialist government to meet their needs and vote for a North American Constitution! www.kbrt740.com | |||||||||||||||||||||

No doubt in my mind. One thing I think should be better supported is higher education. We are just about the only industrialized country that doesn't help pay for higher education. How are our children going to compete scientifically? Yes, the rich can afford to send their kids, but what about the people who really need a hand up? | ||||||||||||||||||||||
