In our hearts it shouldn't be. We all can remember where we were when it happened. Just like I remembered where I was on November 22, 1963, the day John F. Kennedy was gunned down by Oswald.

Yes, me too.

I had just had Spencer the previous Friday, and he was going back to the hospital that day for a blood test (possible jaundice). My mom came over to drive us there.

My sister called and said 'Turn on the TV. A plane hit the WTC!!' I was like 'What? Was it an accident?'

We turned on the TV just in time to see the second plane hit. We then left for the hospital, and made it just in time, because they ended up locking down all public buildings. No one was then let in or out for hours.

All in all, not a good day for me. Spencer ended up being admitted to the hospital, so I watched the drama unfold from his hospital room.

When I turned on the news to CNN Headline News, I saw the first building with smoke coming out. I had my Padres' work uniform on a hanger, and put that in my car, since I was to work later that day at the stadium.

As I was on my way to work, I heard that a second plane hit the WTC. I knew it was no accident.

Like the public buildings being locked down, the baseball games were canceled for a week, including the Padres.

It was like I spent the whole cowering from whatever would have come out of the skies. To me, that was war.

Hope Spencer is okay. Sounds like he had Hepatitus.

I can't believe it's already going to be 6 years since the attack...seems as if it happened just last year.

Yeah, time really goes fast, RHS. I remember that I put my dog to sleep two months before 09/11. I still have her photo at my office as well as home.

Six years have passed by so fast.

No, he had infant jaundice. It's a common ailment of newborns. What happens is the liver isn't quite up to speed breaking down waste products, so the bilirubin builds up. The cure is pretty simple, they put them under UV lights.

The worst part is they have to stay under those lights most of the time, so you can't hold them. Nick had the same thing. Both are healthy big and strong now. No lasting affects.

That's good to hear, Knotty. That's the last thing I ever want. I have never gotten one of those big shots in the butt, full of vaccine to prevent me from getting Hepatitus A.

I remember that day too. I was in first grade and it was announced over the school PA system. I didn't completely understand what was going on at the time though.
