The machine keeps rolling across the land,

its about oil and religion and sometimes land.

Some people have become part of the greed machine,

with no care about the deep blue and the awesome green.

Some Zealots want the end of time to be near,

they claim to be righteous without even a tear.

The religions bicker over who's God is right,

while governments join in this foolish fight.

Our leaders fret over who has the most bombs,

while quoting scripture from acts and the psalms.

Some look at others and judge the threat,

finding faults until the criteria is met.

Then the bombs are exploded and the missiles fly,

more sons and daughters are bound to die.

Some countries spend billions on death and forced ideas,

when we are all the same people, with needs and with fears.

We have advanced to a point where we understand much more,

all the wars can be ended, if we can just open the right door.

Reason and logic must rein supreme,

to unite the world with a peaceful scheme.

Respect for all others must be the foundation,

to bring all peoples to joy and elation.

No bombs or wars will fix our world's needs,

we should worry about how many people the bomb funding feeds.

is another cause that has much worth.
