So glad you asked....The action is real in Nascar.
This year is going to be even sicker. Those guys are out there banging fenders (in this case at 190 mph) and taking their lives in their hands. Tony Stewart said the areo package combined with the restrictor plates at the big tracks, Daytona and Talledaga, was going to get someone killed he just hopes hes not around. Dale Jr also said that the racing was becoming more dangerous.
I think one of the reasons I personally like Nascar is I love to drive fast and would make a good pro driver. I fooled around at the local track one year. I built an enduro car(Stock v-8, a 71 malibu w/350ci, with a cage and the glass ripped out) and I did ok. I start 43 out of 60 cars from a dead stop for 200 laps on a 1/3 mile track. No cautions, stay in the car until the race is over. By the end there was crashed cars everywhere. I finish 7th and actually got crashed out 3 laps from the finish when I was running second. It was big fun and I had one of the best times of my life. I even made $120.00!
I have had a number of off road trucks over the years and love to beat it in the dirt too.
Plus I worked at PPIR in Colorado and got to meet and hang out with Tony Stewart when He was the Indy League champ. He was pretty cool and seemed like your average guy. I liked him as a person so as soon as he started racing with fenders I jumped on that band wagon.
Anyway, this is why I enjoy racing. Plus, those guys are really the only sportsman with true balls.

Re: NASCAR season.... finally.
Ahhhhhhhh, Nascar to take away the NFL pain. Just what the doctor ordered.

The season doesn't start until Daytona on the 19th right???

I fucking love nascar!

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

once you figure out there is more to it than 43 cars driving around a circle (actually an oval) perhaps then you will understand
