I had friends who were identical twins. When I first met them, and for the first few times I saw them, it was IMPOSSIBLE to tell them apart - they really did look alike.
However, in time, it became not only EASY to tell them apart, but IMPOSSIBLE confuse them! Though "identical," their identical qualities were superficial, and after time one could tell they had different faces, voices, etc...even different hair, even though they both wore it in the same style.
If they can have physical differences, they can certainly have different sexual orientations.

If they can have physical differences, they can certainly have different sexual orientations. | Not to mention that there are identical twins who are mirror twins. Quote:
Mirror twins are a subset of identical twins, in which the the twins are identical except that they are mirror images; one is left handed, the other right handed. If one has a birthmark* on their right leg, the other will probably have it on their left. Their hair whorls in opposite directions, and their fingerprints are reversed. Sometimes, although not always, this holds to the extent that the internal organs, such as the heart, are also mirrored.
About 25% of identical twins will have some mirror traits; this is caused when the zygote splits into twins comparatively late in development. I don't have any sources that give a deadline, but apparently splitting as late as seven days after fertilization is enough to cause mirroring. As you might expect, conjoined twins are almost always mirror twins. mirror twins@Everything2.com |
