What is an American?
Crevecoeur’s famous essay about American Ideals and farmers doesn’t need a definition, nor does Amendment I from the Bill of Rights published in 1791
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
For the above reasons America has become the dream of all; a refuge where oppressed people seek help, security and food.
Democracy was embodied in America and now with the help of president Bush is being spread all over the world.

I am against the war...
But have to say that anything on youtube, well...media at all...
every side of an issue wrangles for support with hyped and falsified media. Am I saying this youtube is falsified? No!
But I am saying, sometimes a picture is NOT worth a thousand words. Sometimes a picture can be only one word: Lies.
Please document your vital and good concern with real tangible stats and data that is irrefutable.

true wat u said that taking resources from the net is not trusted...I think this is the case about all media...but at least one should see and watch the two sides...not to be blind about others' voices...even if they may sometimes say and reveal bad things about us...

How do we know that this was American bombing? How do we know that this was not some other form of violence committed by someone who opposes the presence of America in Iraq. Where is the proof. Yes it is horrible seeing dead bodies, especially those of women and children, but let us knot forget that there are how many unmarked graves in Iraq from the Saddam regime, containing the bodies of men, women and children. War is an ugly business, it is hell on earth, and while times have changed and the weapons used have become more precise, let me remind you of the bombing during WWII that took how many lives of innocent civilians trying to bring an end to the regimes of Hitler and Japan.
American soldiers, sailors and airmen do not make it a practice of hiding behind innocent civilians to protect themselves from enemy fire, more often than naught, they will risk their own lives to put themselves between the enemy and the people, the same cannot be said of the insurrgents who routine hide behind innocents, not to mention bomb police stations, markets, mosques and other areas where the people live, pray, shop and meet.
