America The Beautiful
I was watching the CNN Larry King show with Joy Behar from the View. They were doing a show on plastic surgery. They had a cosmetic surgeon on there, Joan Rivers, and some other guys that I didn't know. Anyhow they were talking about the pros and cons of plastic surgery and also the situation with Kanye West's mother and her death after having plastic surgery.

I often find this topic comical because all these Hollywood types and Beverly Hills elites are so bent on looking like their daughters' friends that it's almost too insane and stupid to take seriously. I mean take Burt Reynolds for instance. Lately he's been looking more and more like a fuckin leather bootstrap than a humanbeing. I mean if his face were pulled back anymore then he wouldn't be able to sneeze or his face would go flying off at speeds unknown to man.

I mean all those 40+'s out there in MILF land need to put down the botox needles and say no to tit augs. I assure you that when you die, your body won't matter to the worms divin in for a bite to eat. Nor will it matter to god, or jesus when you reach heaven. This aint a beauty pageant. He won't judge you based on looks, he'll judge you based on how well you served society.

Which brings me to this. Are we so obssessed with look in this country to the point where we can't ever go back to just accepting someone as they are. I mean are we totally guided by the hand that E built? The hands that Glamour Magazine or InStyle Weekly built?

Since when was looking like a walking stick considered the standard of beauty? I remember sayings like, "Black Is Beautiful" or "Beauty is only skin deep" or "Its whats on the inside that matters the most" What happen to those words of honest wisdom? I mean in the end no matter how much you sliced and diced, and sauteeded your face, if your a huge asshole then that beauty won't get you as far as someone who is naturally beautiful inside and out. Makeup won't hide character flaws, and plastic surgery can't fix someone with a personality defect. I think we need to face fact.

This world is made up of all types of people, all types of shapes, colors, and characters. If we continue to try and make all women look the same, all men look the same then we are headed for a cookie cutter society.

I challenge all those magazines aimed at the 14-17 year old females out there to print a whole issue on inner beauty. In fact, put someone on the cover that the mainstream Hollywood world considers "ugly" or "not camera friendly" Put them on there. Show girls that beauty will fade like the sun. Show them examples of women in Hollywood that were praised for their outer image but in the end couldn't maintain a career or life in the limelight because they lacked the personality and talent to stay above the rest or in the same class.

So what is it? I mean your body is a temple. Treat it like one. Don't go cutting yourself up just to make yourself feel better. Thats called cheap satisfaction. It's like when someone masterbates to pornography or goes on a shopping rampage. They do it to blanket deep rooted insecurity and desire. I blame the magazines and the pressure from Hollywood. Trying to tell you how you should look. How you should feel. They want to know the source of all the anorexic deaths in this country, follow the pointed finger to Hollywood. The modeling industry and how they basically said if you want to model you gotta lose weight. Nevermind that those models come into the model game barely weighing over 110. You gotta lose even more than that. What a crock my friends.

Men also play a big part in the rise of image in this country. Men gawk at women in the Hustler Mags and the Playboys, and the rap videos and such. We eat it up and make our women feel as though in order to have our love and attention they gotta look like Perfect 10 models. Men spend more time I bet staring and daydreaming about the girl in the Hooters commerical than they do their own spouse. We need to kill that noise.

I noticed that the people contributing to these style mags, and the editors, the people behind the scenes of E and all the reporters talking about these beautiful celebs, are usually not that attractive. I think its a way to feel beautiful. Talking about pretty celebrities is a way for a reporter on E or someone from a Celeb mag to feel like they are just as good. Like living through an actress is the only way some of them can be considered beautiful in their own minds. Quite sad

So what do you think friends?

Are we too focused on image in this country?

Do we focus way too much on the wrong things?

Is plastic surgery too drastic an option?

Do you agree with plstic surgery or don't you?

Is looking like a orange suprised piece of leather or an cat lady worth it?

And remember before you reply

Think about how Liza Monelli and her ex husband look
Think about how orange Wayne Newton looks
Remember the cat lady of hollywood
Remember cowhide skin Burt Reynolds and his ultra facelift
Remember the fact that Joan Rivers looks like a leather belt with blonde hair
And remember Michael Jackson

You are right.

Last year at homecoming, I noticed that one of the girls was, shall we say, abundantly endowed. I asked around and found out that at 16, her parents had let her have breast implants.

What the hell!?!?!?! Breast implants at 16??!!?!?? Girls aren't even finished growing at that age.

I hate fake boobs. They are like one of the fake Lamborghini kits built on a VW chassis.

Lordy, she could have health problems in the near future of her young life.

Its in the water people. America is way too occupied with the wrong things. While wars are going on and nutbags like Hugo Chavez are trying to get OPEC to develop into a political machine used to discourage the US. So I mean if 16 year olds wanna get mongo augs then let daddy spend cash on them. Make it rain all in the sake of materialism and cosmetic surgery I say. If that truely makes these backwards folks happy. But the warning is: Your looks will fade, your money will run out, and your funbags will fall like the Roman Empire. Godspeed insecure, vain people of America.

LOL!! Calling Hugo Chavez a nutbag. That's the second funniest thing I've read, in addition to the King of Spain telling Chavez to shaddup. LOL
