Gay Marriage Debate and defend your political beliefs as to whether or not marriage should be only defined as a union between a man and a woman.

Hey Riding ... A suggestion...
How would you feel about closing down the gay marriage forum for awhile?

There seems to be very little discussion other than extremely offensive insults by two posters. A few people respond - but mostly to/about the trolls, not about the subject.

Perhaps, if the gay marriage thread was closed down for a while, interest on other forums might develop, and some of our old regulars might be back if the constant insults and offensive comments weren't a constant here.

Just a suggestion - but I know that several of us spend much much MUCH less time here since the two aforementioned people have taken over.

As most regulars here know, this particular issue is of great importance and interest to me - but not having it for awhile might be better than allowing it to let it affect the entire site.

This seems like something that might have better been done with a PM. Your motives for making it a separate thread seem to be very disingenuous.

"Taken over"?? How is that possible? This is a site where anyone can create a thread on one of a large list of topics. How do people accused of only having a "single subject" take over an entire site such as this. You have yet to justify this lie you repeatedly tell.

If you do a check on the statistics, most of the heaviest users still log in pretty regularly.

As I pointed out previously when you ahem debated me on this subject and accused me of doing this with absolutely no proof, Gary and I had a pretty heated debate on health care for a few days and no one from the "gay marriage" threads were anywhere to be seen. It seems that "gay marriage" threads is EVERYONES singular subject....Well that and screaming about how there's no God. Which really are kinda related to many people.

I've been keeping an eye on the Gay Marriage forum, and it doesn't even compare to how it was when Alias and Jefferson were around!! I'm sure you can agree with me on that!

We the staff discussed this and feel it's not necessary to close down the Gay Marriage forum.. The best option would probably be to put whomever you disagree/dislike on ignore, or just avoid the thread..

Ignore them. They can go on and on about pedophilia, zoophilia (whatever that is...) and any other comparison to their "perceived" notion of what the LGBT lifestyle is in their little world and we do not have to acknowledge it.

Im done with them and so should everyone else who thinks they do not add one iota to the debate forum in an adult manner.

Hmmm. Pointing out an obvious similarity, with scientific support, isn't debating like an adult. But reinterpreting posts to say what you want them to say is. Yeah...right okay.
