 | Since 1981, there has probably been about a 3% increase in religious participation in the United States, according to a World Values survey. An increase while most of the industrialized world is decreasing, granted, but enough to warrant "Great Awakening"? Perhaps they are referring to an increase in the ranks of fundamentalist Christians. But on the other hand there has also been an increase in those calling themselves atheist or agnostic.
