| Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics? |

| Bibles being printed by Chinese Streams -- Charisma Online I think many of you know that when Mao Ze Dong was alive, Bibles were not permitted inside Red China. Insetad, Mao's own version of religious literature was distributed to people. One woman, in a Chinese prison when Mao was alive, was reading her Bible. A guard noticed that, took it away from her, and gave her Mao's book. Now that the Chinese are embracing Christianity, they are now printing Bibles. So when one goes to a religious book store, he/she would check to see if the Bible he/she bought is made in China. No joke. But I am glad to see what the Chinese are doing in a way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I'd rather read Mao's Little Red Book. Unfortunately, you can't purchase it in book stores in capitalist United States. Perhaps it is unamerican. Everyone's trying to ban something due to being counter-revolutionary, unpatriotic, or blasphemous or something of the sort it seems. The only place in Ohio where I can just go and get practically anything written by Mao is in University Libraries, available only to students and faculty (as if the public can't be 'trusted' with the material). And even then I can't find his book of quotations. For a country that supposedly prides itself on free thought and equal access to the exchange of ideas, we sure do have a lot of banned books, and movements to ban books. I'd say we're not that much better than the Chinese in that department.
