Possible forum trade?
One of your members (fxashun) has followed a few members of both forums over to my site (Political Wrinkles)...

Apparently, he's not on a lot of Christmas card lists around these parts, and he's decided to take his show on the road...

I was wondering if you guys would like to make a trade...

You folks can keep him here, and in return, I'll stab myself repeatedly in the eyes with a clawhammer...

I don't think I can be any more fair...

ROTFLMAOL!!! Ok redd...You made me spew my coffee yet again.

By the way hon...With you posting that link here? Now you've not only gotten yourself stuck with FX, but you've just given an open invite for his bud Gary to come and mess up your board as well...

Gary's been waiting patiently for someone to post the link here, so he could then have a reason to pop in over there...And you think that FX's appearance was rough? It'll be worse when Gary pops in over there...

Just letting you know what you're in for, now that you let the cat out of the bag darling...

Besides that though...Nice seeing ya handsome! (((HUGZ)))

Actually Ali I've been monitoring that board for several weeks but it seems far too quiet to bother with.

Apart from an occasional flurry between fx and foundit, and of course your delicious culinary suggestions, it's just a series of newsfeeds from The Wrinkler, none of which seem to stimulate a response.

And the moderators treatment of fx was rather biased and sanctimonious I felt.

If you want to create a successful board you have to let people express themselves freely and with passion.

The only proviso is that they have to be able to support their case.

Otherwise a board quickly becomes like tea-time in the convent - totally inoffensive and excruciatingly boring!

From what I've heard, this could possibly be the best advertisement I could ever hope for...

Maybe I can make it a slogan...

"Political Wrinkles - no garysher"...

Has a nice ring to it...

LOL

Maybe you should extend it to

"Political Wrinkles - no garysher..... and nobody else either! "

You may get more people if you advertise

"Political Wrinkles - garysher appearing every Thursday!"

Seriously I think you need to slacken off the corset if you want to get some traffic, but it's up to you.

once upon a time, there were a group of very nice people who were interested in politics, but also became friends and discussed other issues as well.

but too often, they were hounded and baited and trolled by garysher ... so, with a sense of fair mindedness, these fine people went off and formed their own private board so that they wouldn't have to deal with people they didn't want to deal with.

just as in all fairy tales, garysher found a way to lie about who he was in order to join and harangue the good people out of their comfortable and "safe" space.

he always has a sidekick (on this forum, it became fxashun) who is usually as unpleasant as he is, but not quite as quick on the uptake.

I've never understood the mentality of a person who is so lonely that even attracting negative attention is preferable to not receiving any attention at all.

Good to see you're back Tristan !

Pity you still try to disguise the truth about people who oppose your views but it's no great surprise.

One day you may be man enough to stand up for what you believe and face the fact that many others believe differently.

The sooner you do that, and stop hiding behind "righteous indignation" the more I will respect you.
