Let us not find ourselves like the people Jesus talks about in Matthew 7:21-23, at the Judgment Seat of Christ saying, "Lord, Lord, did we not vote Republican in Your name, and in Your name cast out homosexuals, and in Your name oppose many abortions?" just to hear Jesus say, "I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness." George W. Bush's character and policies directly oppose the commands of Jesus Christ. We cannot support him, his policies, or his candidacy. Christians must vote George W. Bush out of office.

keep up | I did keep up, I've read the same stuff about Huckleberry. Maybe you ought to find an article on the current race.
By the way, we agree that Bush pretty much sucks though. Probably for some of the same reasons.

Obviously I don't see anything wrong with being agnostic; but an agnostic exploiting the religious vote I think has implications for the Christian fundamentalist who supports Bush on the basis of their (or Bush's) 'faith'.

I watched an excellent interview of Naomi Klein on Charlie Rose discussing her book the "Shock Doctrine" (the rise of disaster capitalism), which discussed the neo-con movement and how the theories of Milton Freedman are being applied by his adherents in the Bush administration (scary stuff). I would encourage everyone to Google Ms. Klein (there's a wealth of info on the web) .... check out the video clips on Youtube -- good stuff. |
