| I'll probably see it when it comes on the cable. I've seen all of them. I liked the first one best, mostly because I read the book. In the book, John Rambo was an absolute killer. He was trained by the military, and then put back into society and couldn't adjust. When he was confronted by a hard-ass town Sheriff, and treated unjustly, he escaped, and was hunted. But that was his best game. In the book, he killed several deputies, and also the Sheriff. He was finally killed by the military officer who was assigned to the project of finding him.
Sylvester Stallone made the character more acceptable, and the discourse he gave concerning the plight of the returning VietNam Vets was a classic. |
