Huck: Ironclad commitment: Fight for Important Conservative Issues GOP Majority wants
Huck : Ironclad commitment to fight for Important Conservative Issues, that GOP's Majority wants !

- Governor Mike Huckabee's reply to Flip-Flop Millionaire Mitt Romney's stabbing behind the back, after dividing and weakening Conservatives' voters...

--------------------------

Commenting on Flip-flop Flip-Millionaire Mitt Romney's (3% in latest Virginia vote) stabbing behind the back, by endorsing Liberal McCain, after he divided and weakened Conservatives' voters, giving a scandalous opportunity to a Minority of GOP's Liberal wing to snap much more Delegates than GOP's Conservative Majority, (31% to 67% : See previous publications),

the only remaining Conservative in the race, Governor Mike Huckabee, (41% in latest Virginia vote, after brillantly winning Kansas' vote with +60%),

expressed his "Ironclad commitment" to "fight" for "Important Conservative Issues", that the Republicans' "Majority wants" !

"February 14, 2008

- "I am seeking the Presidency because I care deeply about important issues facing America—Life, Marriage, the Fair Tax, the Second Amendment, American Border Security and Sovereignty".

"I am as committed to those issues as I ever was, and my campaigning around the country has convinced me that the Majority of Republicans want me to continue to fight for these and other Conservative causes".

"So I will."

"I know all about the rumors swirling around. That's why I just went on national news show this afternoon, to knock those rumors down"

"I am still in this race. As I have said all along, I am in this race until someone gets to 1,191 delegates. That has not happened yet, and so I will keep campaigning for the Republican nomination. Period."

"That’s my ironclad commitment to my supporters."

Why even try?

There's no possible way he can win the nomination.

Why even try to have a true political discussion on this board in the first place? Gay issues are the only threads that get any attention here.

Naturally, highway80west. Moreover, Huck has to defend some Moral Values, on Important Issues, and he must mark the point. Finally, except from an eventual Vice-Presidency, Governor Mike Huckabee (particularly after Flip-Flop Millionaire Romney's betrayal of GOP's Conservative wing : see other Post), being the only real revelation of 2008 Presidentials, > is the best placed for 2012 US President !

1) He can win !
By winning primaries AND delegates (new + old, since many have not yet formally chosen, and are FREE to decide, up to the last minute, what's best for the Party and America), by uniting Conservative Values' delegates together with Romney, Paul, Thomson, etc. Added to McCain and/or his followers' acknowledgement that, alone, they don't have a chance in face of Obama..

2) He can become Vice-President, on 2008

3) He can (also) prepare to be President on 2012.

4) But, most importantly (and : in ADDITION to all others, taken together, since all this can be done at the SAME time, in parallel and in harmony), he can DEFEND VALUES in which People want to believe !

The more Votes and Delegates Governor Huckabee succeeds to win, the more Senator McCain will understand that he needs to give serious guarantees to the People that he wil respect some fundamental Values and principles, IF he wants to have ALL the Party, and not only a portion of it, to play the electoral game on November 2008..

McCain breaks the 1000 mark in the delegate count:
RealClearPolitics - 2008 Elections - Republican Delegate Count

Now I admire Huckabee's persistence in this race despite the fact that the odds are weighing heavily against him, but when he said he majored in miracles and not in math, he really wasn't joking lol.

@ 1019 delegates (Some sources give McCain an even higher count.), McCain doesn't need much to secure the nomination. The RCP averages give him a 20 point advantage over Huckabee in that Texas and the Ohio polls show an even greater margin over Huckabee (Avg. 32 points) . Wins in both of those states would put him very close to the top. I just cannot see how Huckabee could possibly overtake McCain Galaxy.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - Ohio Republican Primary
RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - Texas Republican Primary
