| Elect Obama?? Ok now let's get serious OK America has had it's brief fling with the soaring rhetoric and slick campaigning of Obama, but now it's time to get serious. What has Obama ever done? What has he achieved? What has he run? What has he built? Where's his track record? Is America really about to elect a guy who has a blank resume but looks good in a suit and delivers good speeches? We know Americans are gullible but this is too important. And what's all this about change - change from what and to what? Why should anyone believe Obama can make it happen? Face it - Obama's entire campaign is built on fluff. Doggone it darn right you betcha bless your heart maverick | |||||||||||||||||||||

I see one different answer: Hillary is married to Bill Clinton. Wait- I see a question you forgot to ask:why does Hillary admit to the folly of the war in Iraq? But she supported it, while Obama did not! Other than that, do you see any differences between the two beside the fact that Hillary is fast losing her support, while Obama is gaining more and more? Can you offer an explanation for this; other than you think that Americans are gullible; and Obama' campaign is "fluff"? Last edited by nuttyjoe; 02-19-2008 at 03:10 PM. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Well let's see, Obama's experience entailed some local experience, a few years in the Illinois state legislature, a few years in law, and two years in Congress. When was the last time we elected a President with the same credentials? Oh yeah, now I remember, Abraham Lincoln. And when was the last time we elected a President with experience, and with a cabinet full of years of top military and foreign affairs (and war time) experience? Oh yeah, George Bush. The point is that inexperience doesn't necessarily mean the person in question is unqualified for the job, or even that all the experience in the world means that the person is qualified. | I'm pretty sure it's an infinite but I don't see a problem with lack of experience. I'm curious to see the average income level pre-elected of senators, governors, etc. I don't live in America so does anyone know of a governor or senator who was middle-income or poor before being elected? | |||||||||||||||||||||
