Looks like Arnold is finally coming around.

Good timing, since the gay marriage issue is in front of the CA state Supreme Court right now.

SAN DIEGO - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says that if an initiative to ban gay marriage qualifies for the November ballot, he's prepared to fight it.

California's governor spoke Friday in San Diego at the convention of the Log Cabin Republicans, the nation's largest gay Republican group.

He has previously vetoed bills that would have legalized gay marriage. A Schwarzenegger spokeswoman did not say what prompted the governor to shift his position.

Actually, he has never said he was against gay marriage - only that it should be voted on by the citizens, not the legislature.

That is very different than supporting a constitutional amendment.

You know, those fundies throw around amending the constitution as if it was indestructible.

I thought he said that it wasnt a matter of voting, that if they wanted the change, they would have to change legislation?

I think it's funny that homosexuals call the observance of the illogical and deviant nature of homosexuality "bigoted" when there is no information that gives a purpose, cause, or biological basis for its existence. Doesn't sound like bigoted to me, seems quite plausible to have an aversion to it.

It's bigoted to be afraid of a gay person sure, but to look at homosexuality as aberrant just seems natural as far as I'm concerned. Not all homosexual people have to act on the unnatural urge. Just as we don't expect the other deviant urges to act on theirs.

This appears to be a politically dangerous "volte face" by Arnie.

Previously he said that the people of California, and not activist judges, should decide if marriage is to be redefined to accommodate homosexuals.

Now he appears to be reluctant to give people the option to vote on that.

Looks like Arnie has been "got at" by the homosexual activists, the same way they corrupted the board of the APA in 1973.

Thank God We The People can overcome.
